About Us

Maximum Clean Energy Solutions Inc (Maximum) is a 100% owned and federally registered Indigenous company, that was incorporated in 2014 to develop and supply innovative green solutions to the Canadian oil and gas industry.

Maximum’s primary focus was on the development and commercialization of its patented technology to permanently decommission non-productive and/or non-commercial oil and gas wells across western Canada. This proprietary technology ensures permanent abandonment of previous hydrocarbon producing wellbores and the elimination of potential future methane leaks to surface via internal steel cased wellbore. The technology also reduces overall CO2 emissions during wellbore abandonment operations as it eliminates any requirement for diesel powered equipment to deploy required plug sealant technology.

Currently we are developing plans and sourcing equipment for the construction of multiple EV charging stations along remote stretches of highway on the northeast coast of Canada. Maximum’s medium term plans are to supply EV charging stations for both passenger type electric vehicles and also at rural marine docks for charging smaller fishing and pleasure craft.

Off-Grid Charging Stations

The off-grid car charging station works as a self-sufficient off-grid power plant and can deliver the power needed to implement temporary or semi-permanent EV charging anywhere.

Off-Grid Power

Maximum’s off-grid EV charging stations are power source agnostic and as such can integrate with a variety of power generators to create an off-grid micro-grid dedicated to charging electric vehicles. If a connection to the electric grid is unavailable the containerized charging station can integrate with renewables such as solar and wind, power generators utilizing biofuels or natural gas, and fuel cells powered by hydrogen for a completely off-grid, sustainable, net-zero EV charging solution.

All-In-One EV Charging Station

We have designed our off-grid EV charging stations to be as plug-and-play as possible to minimize the impact on existing operations and enable rapid deployment. As standard, each containerized system comes complete with LiFePO4 batteries, a battery management system, a power conversion system, HVAC, fire suppression, and an intelligent controller. We can then customize the charging station to meet your specific needs by adding power generators (biofuel, fuel cells, etc..), solar and/or wind generation, and of course EV chargers, which can be either integrated into the container itself or connected as separate pedestals.

Oil & Gas

Western Petroleum Management (WPM) recently developed and patented and commercialized an innovative light weight dump bailer that is transforming the way cement plugs are deployed with the goal of reducing abandonment cost by 40-50% on a standard vertical well abandonment and in the process, decreasing a large percentage of the CO2 emissions related to dump bailer abandonment programs.

Bernard Cabot

Founder and President

Bernard has over 39 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1988 with a diploma in Petroleum Engineering Technology. Bernard has a well-rounded background in all aspects of the industry, from initial startup, financing and management, including managing daily operations. In 1997 he co-founded a private oil and gas company and was director and manager for all operations.

In 2005 he founded Western Petroleum Management Ltd (WPM) to assist oil & gas companies with improving production from mature fields in western Canada. Through WPM, Bernard has helped with controlling cost and adding value for producers, including managing assets (valued at ~S70 MM) for a private oil & gas company where production was increased 10-fold on specific properties and operating cost was reduced by over 60%. Between 2010 & 2013 WPM was instrumental in managing revenue growth, which increased almost 10-fold during this period. In May 2013 he acquired oil and gas producing assets, optimized and prior to oil price collapse, sold the assets in October 2014.

In 2014 Bernard founded Maximum Well Service Corp (named changed to Maximum Clean Energy Solutions in 2021) and acquire three service rigs to optimize client’s oil and gas production. In 2017-18 he sold the rigs and focused on developing innovative technology to help minimize CO2 and methane emissions within the oil industry. He currently holds several patents and has successfully commercialized technologies related to this research. His most recent patent involves the development of an innovative light weight deployment tool (see here) and a 2-stage weighted resin plug for wellbore abandonment operations.
